摘要: Generator curtailment allows Distribution Network Operators to increase the maximum capacity of distributed renewable generation connections their networks, but means lost revenue for generators. Energy Storage Systems (ESS) can mitigate by time-shifting away from congested periods and combine this with other tasks. This paper develops a linear-programming optimization maximize generated an ESS connected wind farm in scheme. The storage is used reduction price-arbitrage external market. A case study developed applied devices range efficiencies penetrations. effect efficiency on shown be stronger price arbitrage than generation-curtailment. An economic analysis carried out Sodium Sulphur battery store it clear that, at current costs, more valuable streams are required achieve viability.
