摘要: Autophagy is a natural self-degradative process by which cells eliminate misfolded proteins and damaged organelles. has been shown to have multiple functions in tumor that may be dependent on the type treatment conditions. can cytoprotective role thought of as survival mechanism or cytotoxic nature mediate cell death. Radiation, one primary treatments for many different types cancer, almost uniformly promotes autophagy cells. While produced response radiation often considered cytoprotective, radiation-induced also susceptibility radiation. This review addresses complexity three cancer models, specifically lung breast glioblastoma. A deeper understanding roles played should facilitate development approaches enhancing therapeutic utility providing strategies combination with unique radiosensitizers well preventing initiation are likely attenuate effectiveness therapy.
