Synthesis of a novel phosphorus-containing polymer and its application in amino intumescent fire resistant coating

摘要: A mixture (denoted as PX) of phosphates was prepared by the reaction phosphoric acid and a kind bicyclic pentaerythritol phosphate (PEPA, 1-oxo-1-phospha-2,6,7-trioxabicyclo[2.2.2]-4-hydroxymethyl octane). Then PX successfully copolymerized with PEG200 to achieve novel phosphorus-containing polymer PX-co-PEG). 31P NMR, 1H NMR FT-IR analysis results showed that there were 38.7 wt.% PEPA 61.3 wt.% biphosphates in mixture. The result GPC indicated molecular formula PX-co-PEG could be noted PX2.0PEG3.0. Fire protection test proved modified amino resin applied on plywood boards effectively extended time over flame. decomposition process fire resistant coating studied thermogravimetric which divided into three characteristic temperature stages. solid residue kept 14.6 wt.% at 787 °C.
