摘要: In biomedical research, network analysis provides a conceptual framework for interpreting data from high-throughput experiments. For example, protein-protein interaction networks have been successfully used to identify candidate disease genes. Recently, advances in clinical text processing and the increasing availability of enabled analogous analyses on electronic medical records. We constructed diseases, drugs, devices procedures using concepts recognized notes Stanford warehouse. demonstrate use resulting research informatics two ways-cohort construction outcomes analysis-by examining safety cilostazol peripheral artery patients as case. show that network-based approaches can be constructing patient cohorts well analyzing differences by comparing with standard methods, discuss advantages offered approaches.
