摘要: The present study evaluated the antiulcerogenic activity and mechanisms of aqueous (AqF 100 mg/kg) ethyl acetate (AcF 50 fractions from Indigofera truxillensis leaves. This dose was selected to assess its on ulcer healing action gastric acid mucus secretion, prostaglandin production antioxidant enzyme (superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) reductase (GSH-Rd)). Gastric induced by absolute ethanol. Antisecretory action, production, activities were for both fractions. AqF AcF significantly inhibited mucosal damage caused effect statistically significant at mg/kg compared with vehicle. Neither fraction interfered secretion. increased PGE2 production. l-NAME did not alter gastroprotection exerted fractions, but N-ethylmaleimide attenuated only AcF. In ischemia/reperfusion model damage. SOD, GSH-Px GSH-Rd activity, SOD GSH-Px. acetic acid-induced accelerated healing. These results showed that acted as a gastroprotective agent, stimulating protective factors antioxidants enzymes.
