摘要: : The present study demonstrates that S(-)-nornicotine evoked a concentration-dependent increase in dopamine (DA) release from superfused rat striatal slices. DA was indicated by an S(-)-nornicotine-induced overflow of endogenous 3,4-dihydroxyphenyl-acetic acid (DOPAC) the superfusate and tritium slices preloaded with [3H]DA. Low concentrations (0.01–1.0 μM) S(-)-nornicotine, which did not evoke DOPAC overflow, also were unable to modulate electrically overflow. induced compared produced S(-)-nicotine. Comparing equimolar (0.1-100 S(-)-nicotine, superfusion resulted significantly greater In contrast effect sustained over-flow for entire period exposure. Furthermore, control Krebs buffer inhibited low-calcium buffer. Moreover, buffer, 30 100 μM different no S(-)-nornicotine. results indicate constituent tobacco products known metabolite increases calcium-dependent manner It is interesting unlike there does appear be desensitization this
