摘要: Delamination of soft and ductile materials from hard substrates is a challenge when using the cold spray process. Additionally, as-sprayed coatings often exhibit significant reduction in ductility brittle behavior upon fracture. As potential solution to these problems, tunable hybrid additive manufacturing process was developed by coupling induction heating Pure aluminum used as feedstock powder, while Ti-6Al-4V substrate. In situ substrate preheating temperature effects on coating’s properties were evaluated: micro-hardness, adhesion tensile strength assessed compared traditional properties. A up 20% found micro-hardness produced drastically increased reached almost 3 times total elongation specimens These results open possibility this technique an for bulk parts coating production.
