Polyphase Filter for MM-Wave Frequencies Featuring Symmetric Layout

摘要: A two-stage, passive, RC polyphase filter for mm-wave quadrature LO generation is presented. The features an innovative, symmetrical layout structure, which more robust to parasitics than the conventional layout. Layout become important at frequencies are identified and a compensated. Impedance variations transfer functions evaluated considering these dominant parasitics. More 15 dB improvement in image rejection ratio achieved comparison with layouts. Using inventive techniques 35 of over bandwidth 6 GHz demonstrated outphasing transmitter 60 40 nm CMOS.
