摘要: Epidemiological studies suggest that low levels of vitamin D (25OHD) constitute a risk factor for more aggressive prostate cancer. We examined the relationship between pre-diagnostic serum D, parathyroid hormone (PTH), and calcium cancer according to tumor aggressiveness. performed nested case–control study within Malmo Diet Cancer Study on 943 incident cases. Tumor aggressiveness was defined by Gleason score, TNM stage, total prostate-specific antigen. Odds ratios (OR) were calculated different quartiles 25OHD, PTH, calcium, interactions them. found no significant association when comparing non-aggressive disease regarding or calcium. There trend toward an increased in low-grade tumors, i.e., score ≤6, 7 tumors with OR 1.70 (1.09–2.65) highest quartile D. Stratifying analysis yielded several findings demonstrating nonspecific interaction metabolites.
