摘要: Abstract Purpose To determine the causes of visual impairment and use low vision devices in patients attending clinic Trinidad Tobago. Methods A retrospective study 222 at University West Indies, St Augustine Campus was conducted. The presenting acuity, blindness, prescribed were recorded analysed to major improvement acuity with aids. Results Out total participants, 66.66% (n = 148) had while rest (33.33%, n 74) legally blind. Glaucoma cause (31.08%) blindness (28.38%) followed by diabetic retinopathy (20.94%, 20.27%, blindness). 193 prescribed, 79.79% 154) near 20.20% 39) distance devices. effective improving both (120 participants reading 1M or 2M) (VA better than 3/60). Conclusion Tobago glaucoma are acuity. comprehensive approach dealing services required mitigate burden country.
