Does in-service training affect self-employed earnings? the Colombian case

摘要: This paper evaluates the effectiveness of Colombia's Servicio Nacional de Aprendizaje (SENA), one world's largest national job-training systems, for raising earnings self-employed workers, who constitute as much 30 percent labor force. The study also tests sensitivity previous measurements SENA effect to screening hypothesis. findings show that differential due is positive and significant self-employed, but it only about three-fifths received by SENA-trained workers in salaried sectors, indicating plays a part those sectors. finds substitutes schooling among self-employed.
