摘要: Abstract Oenothera rosea L´Her. ex Ait is a species traditionally used in the treatment of inflammation, headache, stomach pain, infections, among others. The aim this study was evaluating acute anti-inflammatory activity aqueous extract O. by 2,4,6-trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid (TNBS)-induced colitis. Rats were randomized into six groups: (I) Sham; (II) EtOH; (III) TNBS; and (IV–VI) 250, 500 750 mg/Kg, respectively. colonic injury induced (groups III–VI) intrarectal instillation 0.25 mL TNBS (10 mg) 50% ethanol. Groups I II received an enema (0.25 mL) physiological saline solution or ethanol, Treatments administered oral gavage 48, 24 1 h prior, 24 h after induction. inflammatory response assessed considering macroscopic microscopic damage, serum nitric oxide (NO), IL-1β levels, myeloperoxidase (MPO) activity. Moreover, we performed LC–MS-based metabolite profiling, docking on MPO. Doses 750 mg/Kg showed protective effect TNBS-induced damage. This related to downregulation evaluated parameters. Also, previous reports, 29 metabolites 91 detected selected for docking, which Isolimonic (29) Kaempferol 3-(2′′,4′′-diacetylrhamnoside) (10) highest affinity protected damage rats, that could be associated with presence polyphenolic compounds, alkaloids, terpenes; as well their ability down-regulate MPO
