摘要: The discovery that certain high-risk strains of human papillomavirus (HR-HPV) cause nearly 100% invasive cervical cancer has spurred a revolution in prevention by promoting the development viral vaccines. Although efficacy these vaccines already been demonstrated, complete understanding latency and natural immunity is lacking, solving mysteries could help guide policies screening vaccine use. Here, we examine epidemiological biological history HPV infection, with an eye toward using studies to implementation strategies.
