Aminopeptidases of Germinated and Non-Germinated Barley

摘要: In processes of barley plant development, various endo- and exopeptidases are involved. To determine the type number aminopeptidases that could participate in seed germination tissue growth, their activities extracts non-germinated germinated (Hordeum vulgare L. cv. Angora) grains young tissues have been examined, some properties determined. Aminopeptidases (AP) hydrolysing 2-naphthylamides amino acids were present dry grains, roots, seedlings leaves, showing preferences for phenylalanine (Phe), arginine (Arg), leucine (Leu) methionine (Met), lower activity towards alanine (Ala), proline (Pro), glycine (Gly) histidine (His). Levels ratios AP changed during indicating APs different specificities required at stages tissues. Thus, increase all aminopeptidase first 24 hours subsequent decrease show significant involvement primary metabolism restoration. The Arg- HisAP equally important green malt. Seedlings leaves pronounced substrate specificity Phe, Leu, Ala Pro, while roots lowest specific activities. From determined properties, presence least six optimally active pH=7.4– 8.2 be discerned Angora barley. Two most probably broad specificity, three narrow preference with dominating or Pro/His, one is Arg.
