摘要: Abstract This report summarizes the international divisions of geologic time scale and ages. Over 35 chronostratigraphic units have been formalized since 2000, with about one third almost 100 stages Phanerozoic still awaiting definition. The same numerical is used as in Geologic Time Scale 2004 for majority stage boundaries. Exceptions are made if definitions boundaries at a different level than previous “working” versions (e.g., base Serravallian, Coniacian, bases Ghzelian, Kasimovian Serpukhovian). In most cases, changes ages within GTS2004 age error envelopes. On-screen display production user-tailored time-scale charts provided by TimeScale Creator, public JAVA package available from ICS website (www.stratigraphy.org) www.tscreator.com.
