摘要: Ar39 Ar age for the basal Berriasian suggest that duration of Kimmeridgian and Tithonian were nominally ~650 k.y. shorter than previously determined. The Re-Os data Staffin black shale indicates seawater Os isotope composition at Oxfordian/Kimmeridgian boundary was radiogenic ( 187 Os/ 188 = 0.53), similar to Early Tithonian, but much higher Late Callovian 0.27). These compositions rate continental weathering had increased from Kimmeridgian/Tithonian.
