摘要: This paper presents some methodological observations on the measurement of performance in Visual Information Retrieval systems. The identifies three different types measures tow which can be determined with methods inherited from physical and social sciences respectively. third model is more typical design construction complicated systems, since it allows us to measure individual modules before their insertion a particular application. present methodologies for decontextualized evaluation, anchoring them case study evaluation several subsystems an image database.
