摘要: In this study palm biodiesel was prepared from oil by transesterification and subsequently different blends (B20, B30, B40) with diesel were tested in a standard engine. From the engine test result, B20 found to be an optimum blend ratio based on performance emissions. The result shows that exhaust emissions such as CO HC are reduced 28% 30%, respectively, compared diesel. NOX almost same fuel. order reduce emission, small quantity of additives namely methanol, ethanol, distilled water, diethyl ether added evaluated for characteristics. Among all B20, 2% water lowest emission may due lower combustion temperature other additives.
