摘要: This book explores how some word meanings are paradigmatically related to each other, for example, as opposites or synonyms, and they relate the mental organization of our vocabularies. Traditional approaches claim that such relationships part lexical knowledge (our "dictionary" mentally stored words) but Lynne Murphy argues actually constitute "metalinguistic" knowledge. The draws on a century previous research, including association experiments, child language, use synonyms antonyms in text.
