摘要: Seeds of four cultivars arabica coifee (Coffea L.) were tested for germination following hermetic storage up to 12 months at several different combinations temperatures between —20 °C and 15 moisture contents 5% 10% (wet basis). Most the seeds from one cultivar withstood desiccation 6% content, a seed water potential approximately 250 MPa, but those remaining three much more sensitive damage. Moreover, in all cultivars, longevity cool sub-zero temperatures, low did not conform with orthodox behaviour: viability was lost rapidly under these conditions than either warmer or higher contents. The results confirm that coffee fail satisfy definitions typical recalcitrant behaviour. These results, therefore, point possibility third category behaviour intermediate seeds. One main features this is dry are injured by temperatures.
