摘要: ABSTRACT: The aim of this study is to conduct a cephalometric analysis the morphology maxilla, including whole middle part face in patients with divergent and convergent facial types mandibular prognathism, as well determine differences betweeen them. Materials methods. Cephalometric x-rays 90 were analized at Dental Clinic Military Medical Academy. All male, aged 18 - 35 years, who have not been previously treated orthodontically. On basis dentalskeletal relations jaws teeth, divided into three groups: group P1 (patients type prognathism), P2 pragmathism) E (control or eugnathic patients). 9 parameters related measured analyzed. results showed that effective length maxillary corpus leghth hard palate significally shorter prognathism compared also both experimental groups control group. was significantly group, whereas angle between soft smaller Additionally, there pronounced incisor dentoalveolar compensation skeletal discrepancy manifested form significant upper front teeth protrusion, but without among groups, while retrognathism present most groups. A posterior hyperplasia found only prognathism. Conclusion: jaw certainly one key factors which contributes making a  diagnosis, primarily plan for treatment Accurate assessment manifestation abnormality, localization problems understanding biological potential are stability surgical- orthodontic abnormality. Key words: prognathism; Class III; cephalometry; maxilla; face.
