摘要: Daily growth rates were estimated from larval anchovy (Engraulis encrasicolus) sampled in their main nursery grounds off the Bay of Malaga (SW Mediterranean) during 2000 and 2001 spawning seasons. Significantly higher observed population, representing a 20% increase through size classes analysed. The decimated SW Mediterranean population experienced successful recruitment this year at 13,000 tons for by acoustic evaluation small pelagic resources. distribution recruited juveniles showed an approximately 2 cm. Their corresponding seasonality agrees with estimates model fits each year. Data on environmental background two years are provided historical quarterly monitoring project. Zooplankton two-fold significant July 2001, coastwise as well offshore. No changes surface temperature between years. Instead usual summer peak, peak shifted towards early spring season. study provides evidence field data relationships variability recruitment.
