摘要: OBJECTIVE Fibromyalgia (FM) is a chronic widespread pain syndrome. Although its mechanism remains relatively unknown, accelerated neurodegeneration in the brain has been reported patients with FM. Sleep disturbance can increase risk of neurocognitive disorders, which are associated tau and beta-amyloid (Aβ) protein accumulation. We hypothesize FM may be sleep disturbance. METHODS In this case-control study, we analyzed serum Aβ levels their association symptom profiles for FM, by recruiting 22 age-matched healthy participants. The visual analog scale, Impact Questionnaire, pressure threshold test, Pittsburgh Quality Index (PSQI), Beck Depression Inventory-II, Anxiety Inventory, beta-amyloid-42 (Aβ-42) were recorded. Mann-Whitney test was conducted to compare questionnaire level results between groups. Pearson correlation investigate scores Aβ-42 significance set at P < .05. RESULTS Serum significantly higher than controls. A positive PSQI observed (r = 0.476, P = .025). found that only among all scores. CONCLUSIONS suggest play vital role pathomechanism
