摘要: Even though there is a growing literature on barriers to formal healthcare use among older people, little known from the perspective of vulnerable people in Ghana. Involving poor under Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) programme, this study explores Atwima Nwabiagya District Interviews and focus group discussions were conducted with 30 15 caregivers providers Data analysed using thematic analytical framework, presented based an posteriori inductive reduction approach. Four main identified: physical accessibility (poor transport system architecture facilities), economic (low income coupled high charges, non-comprehensive nature National Health Insurance Scheme [NHIS]), social (communication/language difficulties family support) unfriendly environment attitude providers). Considering these barriers, removing them would require concerted efforts substantial financial investment by stakeholders. We argue that improvement rural services, implementation free for strengthening support systems, recruitment language translators at health facilities establishment attitudinal change programmes lessen people.
