摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter describes the role of suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN) in control autonomic nervous system with respect to mechanism glucose homeostasis. In effort elucidate circadian rhythms food intake and energy metabolism using rats as experimental animals, finds evidence that hypothalamic SCN has an important regulation through nerves. When vasoactive intestinal polypeptide (VIP) neurons receive signals from oscillator, they may transmit for a rhythm functions include maintain these VIP changes outer inner environments, produce alterations nerves ensure survival, especially excitement sympathetic related elevation blood under stressful conditions.
