摘要: Steroid hormones, like many other low-molecular-weight hormones and vitamins, exert their biological effect(s) via an intracellular receptor protein. Receptor proteins for each of the different groups steroid have been demonstrated. Thus, there are separate androgens, estrogens, glucocorticoids, mineralocorticoids, progestins, vitamin D, respectively. The current model mechanism action is shown in Fig. 1. This has used past 15 years reader referred to abundant review articles on this topic details originally supporting model.
