摘要: In the forthcoming decades, many objects in transport infrastructure networks will come to end of their technical, economical or functional lifespan. The replacement and renovation require substantial budgets a timely start secure current functionalities. These challenges are main concern for asset managers. However, programmes also have opportunity not only maintain currently needed functionalities quality but adaptation changing demands, because these determine value future. This give added managers, users (e.g. increased functionality), enterprises new business opportunities), stakeholders increase liveability) society as whole sustainability). Each is an make more fit future economic environmental needs. means shift thinking managers broader view. paper proposes strategies cope with opportunities. traditional approach focuses on delivery, key programme focus life cycle through management (LCM). From LCM-approach, four perspectives presented strategic decision-making replacements renovations: (1) broadening towards network redesign, (2) developing innovations increasing requirements budget restrictions, (3) realizing adaptive (4) combining value. Ultimately goal maximize society.
