摘要: When LCA practitioners perform LCAs, the interpretation of results can be difficult without a reference point to benchmark results. Hence, normalization factors are important for relating common reference. The main purpose this paper was update US and US-Canadian regions. were used highlighting most contributing substances, thereby enabling put more focus on when compiling inventory, as well providing them with reflecting actual situation. Normalization calculated using characterization from TRACI 2.1 LCIA model. inventory based databases emissions substances. Canadian previous 2005 reference, in significant substances updated 2008 data. showed that impact categories generally dominated by small number contribution analysis reporting substance classes highly environmental impacts, although reality, these nonspecific composition, so which selected represent may significantly different identity aggregates. Furthermore highlighted issue carefully examining effects metals, even though toxicity have only interim USEtox. A need improved understanding wide range uncertainties incorporated into studies reported indentified. This especially since aggregated often modeling information particular is missing. Given dominance metals human ecotoxicity categories, it imperative refine CFs within Some indicate soil higher than we expect actuality.
