摘要: The main contribution of this work is to propose OSCAR - an opportunistic call admission protocol that provides a simple and robust solution handoff management in LEO satellite networks. One the features sets apart from existing protocols it avoids overhead reserving resources for users series spotbeams along predicted user trajectories. Instead, relies on novel bandwidth allocation mechanism very efficient does not involve maintaining complicated data structures or making expensive reservations. Extensive simulation results have shown achieves comparable those Q-Win: low dropping probability, thus providing reliable on-going calls, blocking probability new requests, high utilization.
