摘要: Nanocrystal rods of Eu3+/Tb3+-co-doped ZrO2 were synthesized using a simple chemical precipitation technique. Both ions successfully doped into the Zr4+ ion site in mixed structure containing both monoclinic and tetragonal phases. The Eu3+ or Tb3+ singly zirconia produced red green luminescence which are characteristics ions, respectively. co-doped samples blue emission from defect states transitions host ZrO2, dopant giving cool to warm white light emissions. phosphors efficiently excited by ultraviolet near-ultraviolet/blue radiations light, decay lifetime was found increase with increasing donor concentration contrary conventional observations reported previous researchers. Weak quadrupole–quatdrupole multipolar process responsible for energy transfer (donor) ion. No back-transfer observed excitation spectra. Temperature-dependent photoluminescence shows presence defects at low temperature, but these vanished room temperature beyond. nanocrystal rod is potential phosphor application UV as an source. Thermoluminescence measurements show that inclusion increases trap depths zirconia.
