摘要: Organic pollutants, especially those found in water bodies, pose a direct threat to various aquatic organisms as well humans. A variety of different remediation approaches, including chemical and biological methods, have been developed for the degradation organic pollutants. However, comparative mechanistic studies pollutant by these systems are almost non-existent. In this study, model thiazole pollutant, thioflavin T (ThT), was carried out presence either an advanced oxidation process (ultraviolet (UV) + H2O2) or chloroperoxidase enzyme system (CPO H2O2). The followed both spectrophotometrically using liquid chromatography-mass spectroscopy (LC-MS), products formed were identified tandem spectrometry-mass spectrometry (LC-MS-MS). results show that two approaches produced sets intermediates, with only one common species (a demethylated form ThT). This suggests schemes operating systems. Interestingly, major intermediates CPO H2O2 chlorinated thioflavin. Phytotoxicity showed H2O2-treated ThT solution significantly (p <0.05) less toxic than UV solution. is first time study showing detail generated methods has presented. Furthermore, very result having toxicities.
