摘要: In the winter of 2012, students in my fourth-year seminar, The Politics Canadian Women’s Movement, undertook project editing, updating, and expanding a number Wikipedia articles, including page on “Feminism Canada.” Though it often serves as first point reference for research feminism, this had long been underdeveloped, overlooking significant historical events, recent contributions, work feminists outside English-speaking, white, middleclass mainstream. Students collaborated over course term with intent to generate content an improved that would more accurately communicate contemporary realities. This article chronicles theory behind practice doing assignment students. It argues although is not perfect, using university classroom offers useful site employ feminist pedagogical principles by enabling collaboratively meaningfully engage one another broader public.
