摘要: This study unpacks the effective Exceptional Coaching for Early Language and Literacy (ExCELL) professional development intervention to understand how language literacy coaching that teachers receive is linked changes in their knowledge then this related classroom practice. In total, 17 lead participated 10 control condition; all were recruited from 3 Head Start centers a major urban area northeast. Results showed varied about literacy—as measured by ExCELL Teacher Knowledge Measure—at start of intervention, with more years education had higher average levels knowledge. The was significant increases teacher knowledge, particularly areas writing book reading. Finally, stronger instructional quality, albeit marginally.
