摘要: The sequence of a large cDNA fragment proenkephalin-A from the cat adrenal medulla was obtained using reverse transcription followed by polymerase chain reaction, and cloning. This encompasses region normally containing all opioid peptides, except C-terminal heptapeptide. As with other species, contains four conserved copies (Met5)-enkephalin, one (Leu5)-enkephalin, flanked processing sites paired basic amino acids. However, significant differences were found in nucleotide deduced acid sequences octapeptide. In particular, essential tyrosyl residue is substituted histidyl residue, making it unlikely that equivalent would have activity. Furthermore, peptide not residues, suggesting processed.
