摘要: ABSTRACTPurpose:: We confirmed the beneficial effect of α1-blocker alfuzosin for acute management urinary retention (AUR) related to benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH), and further identified factors influencing success a trial without catheter (TWOC).Materials Methods:: A total 360 patients presenting with first episode spontaneous AUR BPH underwent emergency catheterization were then randomly blindly assigned receive 10 mg once daily or placebo at ratio 2:1 3 days.
