摘要: Abstract This paper reports on experimental investigation of performance a new type PV-slat window (PV-SW). The main functions this PV-SW are as follows: to admit sufficient daylight, act shading device for decreasing direct heat gain through glazing and ensure indoor air movement, which improves resident's thermal comfort. To assess the PV-SW, two test rooms 1×1×1.5 m3 (H:W:L) volume were built using plywood gypsum boards. At first, 0.5×0.6 m2 surface area was located at south-facing wall whereas other room equipped with commercial transparent slat same size. consists six PV slats. photovoltaic cells connected in series giving maximum electrical power output 36 W (12 V×3 A). circuit current axial fan, inside room, that requires 43 W. analysis investigated based output, daylight factor temperature difference between ambient. results showed multi-purpose is extremely interesting it can produce up 15 W, decrease provide light housing. illumination about 750 lx slats angle 68°. 2–3oC lower than
