摘要: Aortic stiffness may predict progression to hypertension beyond classic risk factors. In a longitudinal study, we assessed the predictive value of aortic on future in nonhypertensive subjects with blood pressure (BP) <140/90. was determined by echocardiography at baseline 2512 subjects. The follow-up time 4 years. A stepwise increase incidence occurred across male and older participants: 3.8% young female individuals, 11.5% male, 26.1% old female, 58.8% progressed over multivariate analysis, stain, distensibility, index (β) remained significantly associated after adjustment factors men women populations. This study provides first direct evidence our knowledge that is an independent predictor individuals.
