摘要: A phase transformation-toughened glass ceramic and a process for making it are disclosed. mixture of particulate network-forming oxide, network-modifying zirconium oxide is heated to yield homogeneous melt, this melt then heat-treated precipitate an appreciable quantity tetragonal zirconia, which retained at ambient temperature form ceramic. Nucleating agents stabilizing may be added the facilitate processing improve ceramic's properties. Preferably, first melted from 1200° 1700° C. within range 800° in order ZrO2. The composition, as well length heat-treatment, must carefully controlled prevent solution precipitated zirconia subsequent conversion monoclinic phase.
