摘要: Abstract The effect of the partial substitution Rh/La–Al2O3 monolith catalysts with either Pt or Pd during catalytic oxidation methane in presence H2S under self-sustained high-temperature conditions was investigated. were fully characterized by BET, SEM-EDS, SO2-TPD and situ DRIFT spectroscopy adsorbed CO at room temperature, which used to study changes on surface state Rh before after exposures sulphur species temperatures close those expected actual CPO methane. Both steady transient operation reactor investigated particularly regards poisoning/regeneration cycles low-temperature light-off phase. shown reduce detrimental S, strongly inhibits steam reforming reaction monometallic catalyst. experiments indicate that acts as a selective poison preferentially adsorbing smaller well-dispersed crystallites while larger metallic sites are mostly unaffected; does not directly influence way S adsorbs highly dispersed sites.
