摘要: In women diagnosed with breast cancer and testing positive for a BRCA1/2 mutation, decisions as to whether undergo prophylactic risk-reduction surgery may differ from those who test in presymptomatic phase. Eighty-four were identified had undergone genetic at the time of diagnosis. The study group consisted 46 these initially breast-conserving surgery. Eight patients (17.4%) tested mutation. Seven eight underwent bilateral mastectomy prior receiving radiation therapy. only patient not undergoing was awaiting liver transplant. Women are candidates gene mutation choose over surveillance.
