摘要: The effects of feeding cockerel chicks with maggot-meal (MAM) as replacement for meat-meal (MM) (80%) at 0, 50 and 100% levels or without methionine (0.20%) supplementation were investigated over 8 weeks period. Day-old Harco (300) randomly allotted to 5 dietary treatments 3 replicates 20 birds each. Increased inclusion MAM resulted in marked variation (P<0.05) feed intake, weight gain, conversion ratio (FCR) protein efficiency. Values per cent nitrogen, dressing percentage abdominal fat obtained fed diet containing plus methoinine (0.20%). Meat/bone showed slight variations among treatments. It was concluded that can completely replace MM (8%) diets any adverse effect on performance nutrient utilization. Supplementation enhanced utilization significantly (P<0.05).
