Hanle effect in a neon discharge

摘要: Abstract A method of producing the Hanle effect in neon has been discovered which involves use a single dc discharge tube. The technique applied to measurement lifetime and collision broadening constants for 2p 9 level. results is τ = (18.0±0.7)x10 -9 sec.
