摘要: Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy has been successfully used as a nondestructive method for identifying, distinguishing, and classifying pathogens. In this study, less time-consuming procedure was developed to identify Escherichia coli O157:H7 Salmonella Typhimurium. Samples containing 109 CFU/ml were prepared in tryptic soy broth then serially diluted (up eight times) obtain bacterial solutions of 10 CFU/ml. These dilutions incubated at 37°C 6 h, samples filtered through Metricel filter hourly (for 0 h), spectra obtained using ZnSe contact attenuated total reflectance accessory on Continuμm microscope. Midinfrared (4,000 700 cm−1)of Typhimurium E. generated, peak areas the region 1,589 1,493 cm−1 detect Initially, detection limits between 106 107 without preenrichment, starting with 500 we...
