Investigation of adsorption behavior of phosphonium salts onto Na-montmorillonite

摘要: Montmorillonite is an important clay mineral due to its cation exchange capacity and technological properties such as swelling gelling index etc. and, has been widely used in many scientific applications like organoclay. Meanwhile, adsorption themed studies with montmorillonite which depend on ion processes by means of a variety organic compounds ammonium phosphonium salts are becoming very popular because their usages organoclay polymer nanocomposites higher thermal strengths. In this purpose, different types salts, namely Hexadecyl Triphenyl Phosphonium Bromide (HTPB), Tributyl (HTBPB), Tetraphenyl (TPB), were investigate the effect these surfactants behavior Na-montmorillonite. The last one was composed only aromatic head without chain whereas others three branches (HTBPB) including (HTPB). sample also supported surface characterization tests, zeta potential, tension, flocculation measurement. results clearly indicated that structure.
