摘要: AbstractObjective:To assess the time from first observed diagnosis of type 2 diabetes (T2DM) to initiation an oral antihyperglycemic agent (OAHA) and statin.Methods:In a retrospective US cohort study using GE electronic medical record database, patients ≥18 years were included if they had T2DM between January 1, 2004 December 31, 2005 (index period), last pre-index HbA1c value ≥7%, not received agents within one year prior date). Patients eligible for statin therapy but on before index date. records (baseline) two after (follow up) diagnosis.Results:Of 2254 patients, 58% male, mean age was 58 years, 8.5%, LDL cholesterol 115 mg/dL (2.97 mmol/L) at baseline.
