摘要: The digital rectal exam (DRE), serum prostate specific antigen (PSA) level and transrectal ultrasound (TRUS) serve as the primary means of early detection cancer, but all have known limitations. Because low predictive value for gray scale cancer with TRUS, attempts been made to improve diagnostic accuracy TRUS by incorporating color Doppler imaging (CDI) into standard examination. With CDI, sonographer has ability investigate both normal abnormal flow within gland. Recent studies supported CDI detect vascularity in tumors that otherwise were not detectable conventional which suggests potential increase tumor detection.
