摘要: Genetic selection for udder health is often based on the indicator trait somatic cell score (SCS), which correlated with clinical mastitis and has a moderate heritability. We used combined linkage disequilibrium analysis to refine mapping of previously reported quantitative locus (QTL) affecting SCS Bos taurus autosome 27 (BTA27) in German Holstein population. A granddaughter design six grandsire families 492 sons progeny tested an average 190 daughters per son was investigated. Nineteen microsatellite markers were genotyped along segment 26.2 cM proximally BTA27. chromosome-wide significant QTL identified between DIK2879 KIBS272 using analysis. The region interest future fine experiments narrowed marker interval KIBS272-DIK2191 confidence 3.27 cM. estimated be responsible 18% genetic variation SCS. Application 2-QTL model did not result higher test stat...
