摘要: The distally based sural flap is an efficient for reconstruction of soft tissues defects lower limb. unstable vascular pedicle, however, prone to compression by the subcutaneous tunnel, especially when a long pedicle covers distal area foot. aim present study was introduce modified surgical technique that leaves skin extension over and report clinical results this modification. A total 25 consecutive patients with mean age 51.7 ± 14.7 years underwent surgery. We conventional leaving entire length creating fasciocutaneous pedicle. postoperative survival rates, complications, characteristics flaps such as size, length, most could be covered modification, were reviewed. At last follow-up examination, all survived, although partial necrosis observed in 2 (8%) cases. Four cases venous congestion developed but healed without additional complications. size 5.9 ± 1.8 × 9.2 ± 2.7 cm. With cover defect located extreme areas, medial forefoot dorsum first metatarsophalangeal joint, longer (≤27 cm) 7 (28%). along achieved favorable rate successfully extended indications more areas.
