摘要: This special issue of Climatic Change contains a series research and review articles, arising from papers that were presented discussed at workshop held in Davos, Switzerland on 25–28 June 2001. The was titled ‘Climate High Elevation Sites: Emerging Impacts’, convened to reprise an earlier conference the same subject Wengen, 1995 (Diaz et al., 1997). Davos meeting had as its main goals, discussion following key issues: (1) reviewing recent climatic trends high elevation regions world, (2) assessing reliability various biological indicators change, (3) whether physical impacts change areas are becoming evident, discuss range monitoring strategies needed observe understand nature any changes.
