摘要: In response to changes in intralumenal pressure, the urinary bladder modulates its mucosal surface accommodate a wide range of urine volumes upon filling and voiding. During stretch, umbrella cells that line undergo area mediated by exocytosis endocytosis subapical discoidal vesicles. While number signaling factors are required for this process, how these signals interact with each other whether they integrated any manner is not known. The identification epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) as an apical stretch-induced HB-EGF provides previously unrecognized function versatile physiology. It appears EGFR able regulate protein synthesis via MAPK pathway, which late tissue prolonged stretch. transactivation metalloproteinase-dependent pathway opens possibility several recognized upstream stimulate activity pathway. importance tight regulation highlighted role carcinoma pathophysiology, future studies may provide insights lead diagnostic therapeutic advances.
